Refereeing Kids Rugby (U8 – U12 Pathway Rugby)

In 2017 the ARU has advised that the Refereeing Kids Rugby Course will continue to be delivered in its existing format:

3 hrs. Face-to-Face session including indoors learning and on-field demonstrations.

Participants must be no younger than 13 at time of enrolment.

Course Cost: $35/Person

If anyone wishes to anticipate the Smart Rugby component of the course prior to attending a course, they are encouraged to do so via the ARU Learning Centre – (https://rugby.force.com/rugbyportal/apex/RL_Home )

Foundation

Foundation will be delivered the same way in 2017 as it was in 2016 – this is a full day course. As per ARU protocol, this program is usually delivered in conjunction with the Coach participants of the course.  Participants will join those enrolled in the Coaching Foundation Course prior to Lunch. Then split into a Refereeing Group in the afternoon.

Please note Foundation is the pre-requisite course for the Level 1 Referee Accreditation.

Course participants must be no younger than 15 at time of enrolment.

As above, if anyone wishes to anticipate the Smart Rugby component of the course prior to attending a course, they are encouraged to do so via the ARU Learning Centre – (https://rugby.force.com/rugbyportal/apex/RL_Home )

The first round of foundation courses can be found at the link below:

Level 1 Referee Accreditation

The Level 1 Referee Accreditation can be completed online through the ARU Learning Centre following the completion of the foundation course. Participants are required to complete the Level 1 Referee Law Exam and then do a Referee Field Assessment to finalize the process.

Foundation course participants will be provided these details after the course.

Course Cost – This component of the accreditation is free of charge.

Assistant Referee Level 1

We recommend that all clubs provide at least 2 or 3 of their own qualified Assistant Referees in order to provide a reliable support to the referees who are appointed to Brisbane and Suburban club rugby as well as the various schools’ competitions. Once again, venues and dates are yet to be confirmed, but we will look to deliver these in the HUB centers or when there is a special request to run a course when the need arises with minimum numbers of 15 participants.

Course participants must be no younger than 13 at time of enrolment.

If interested in filling this role for Easts contact rugbyadmin@eaststigers.com

Course Cost – $20

Course Payment and Registration

Each individual will register himself or herself in the learning center as they will need to use this to manage their accreditation post the course.
