We had a great afternoon at the Easts Rugby Union 75th year season launch. Held at the Howard Smith Wharves, nearly 300 guests joined for what turned out to be a fine Friday afternoon on the Brisbane River. MC for the event was ABC radio personality and Easts Tiger, Neil Breene. Club president, David Waldie looked back at the history of the club, where we are today and shared an overview of the next chapter for our community. We heard from Shannon Parry, Benny Mowen and Jeremy Paul, each talking club rugby and what to look out for in the season ahead. Here are a few snaps from the day, which turned out to be a terrific prelude to a men’s seniors Round 1 clean sweep the following day and marking a strong start to #yearofthetiger2022.
