A letter from our Club President
Dear Easts Faithful,
It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new President of Easts Rugby Union Club. Having been part of this incredible community for many years, I am honoured to take on this role and help guide the Club into its next chapter. I’m filling some huge shoes and thank Dave Waldie and all of the great past leaders at Tigerland for all they’ve given as well as the Board who have helped me transition smoothly into this role.
I am also thrilled to welcome our new General Manager, Tony McGahan, to the Easts family. Tony brings a wealth of experience in rugby at the highest levels, and his leadership will be instrumental in driving our Club forward, both on and off the field.
As we embark on a new season, we invite you to join us for a very special 2054 Season Launch on Friday, March 29, at Rivershed, Howard Smith Wharves. This event is more than just a celebration—it is an opportunity to come together, to prepare ourselves for a huge season ahead, to reflect on all we have achieved as a community, and to show our commitment to the future of Easts.
From the success of our seniors, the thriving junior program and the rapid growth of our women’s and girls’ teams to the incredible work put into developing our facilities, everything we have accomplished has been built on the passion and dedication of the people who make this Club great—our players, members, volunteers, and supporters.
Easts Rugby is only as strong as its community, and history has shown time and again that our community is second to none. We need you—your support, your passion, and your presence—to continue building on this legacy.
