Rugby Australia and Easts Rugby Union engages children and young people through a number of our programs.
We take our responsibility seriously in delivering a rugby environment that is caring, nurturing and safe for all participants and ensure child safety is embedded in our leadership, governance and culture. Rugby Australia and Easts Rugby Union aims to keep families and communities informed and involved as well as encourages children to participate in decisions affecting them.
Our Governing Body, Rugby Australia has developed the Child Safe Framework and Safeguarding Children Guidelines which document not only our commitment to child safety but best practice on how to create child safe environments across the game.
These documents also outline how best to respond to allegations of child abuse and equip staff and members with the knowledge, skills and awareness to keep our children safe.
